Seems like there's only videos of London 2012/11/04 on youtube, there's nothing of this night? Flickr pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/elstef/sets/72157631929666401 Reviews: http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/articles/live/godspeed-you-black-emperor-forum-london/ http://choppers-gigs.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/godspeed-you-black-emperor-at-forum.html http://www.hhv-mag.com/de/feature/4181/godspeed-you-black-emperor-live-am-5-11-im-hmv-forum-in-london Notes: I was always under the impression that if the band was taper friendly, the venue would be accepting it too. And so far I've never had a problem getting my gear into a venue, including on my previous visits to London. So on the first night that gy!be was playing at the HMV Forum on the 4th of November, I had stuck my iRiver and the rest of the equipment into my bag as usual, and got in line (once we found out that the line was hidden behind the corner of the building). Security staff at the HMV Forum have their own rules though. They stopped me, searched my bag and took the iRiver. OK, I have to admit, he asked me what it was and I was stupid enough to be honest and tell him that it was a recording device. Should have told him it was my pet turtle, he probably would have believed me. I was told that I could get it back after the show. Telling them that the band was taper-friendly had no effect at all. Not even Mauro could convince them that the band wouldn't mind if audio recordings were made. Fortunately, not only did I get the iRiver back after the show, I stood right next to another taper who had been smarter than me and had hidden his gear well enough. So the show was taped after all! The next night I changed my plans and left my bag at the hotel. Instead the gear was stuffed into my pockets, iRiver in back pocket of my jeans, and the other stuff in the innner pockets of my jacket and I wished for the best. This time the security guy at the door patted my pockets for a bit, then all he said was that I should take care of my valuables and not to eat chewing gum. This night was recorded from the front of the stage, with only one person in front of me. And when someone in front walked away after Behemoth, I stepped into the front row. That's why especially the first part of the recording sounds a bit off-balance, David's guitar is heard full frontal on the right channel as his amp was pointed towards me. The rest of the instruments are more distant. But I love the way this recording came out, it's exactly how I heard it as well and Grigio once again did a great job in mastering it. My favourite part is the outro to BBF3. Please play as loud as possible! The Dead Rat Orchestra was again the support act, and was also recorded. Please don't sell! Please don't share in lossy format! Please don't share without the original .txt file! If you want to remaster this, please let me know so that you can use the master recording! Support the band. Buy their albums, go see them live!
