Thankfully I have a good contact there and knew that not only was I going to be able to get my equipment in fairly pain-free but, knowing that venue well and exactly where the sweet spot is, that I was also going to get a top notch recording. Despite it taking a little longer than I would have liked to get my gear in and set up (hence no recording by me of the openers), I am very grateful to the venue for taking care of me and making sure I was able to set up my gear right where it needed to be and leave it unattended during recording to be able to enjoy the performance as well as capture some pretty great video available on my YouTube channel. I can not tell you how many great recordings I've captured from this venue but this one may just be the best ever. The night began with the audience spontaneously breaking out into a chorus of Happy Birthday to Susan. Once the band started, though, there was no stopping them. There were times where they were so hot, I was concerned about fire breaking out on stage! The band had a nice mix of older and newer songs and with some great improvisation as well. It seemed that every member was on top of their game that night (aren't they always?) and brought it. For me, the smoking rendition of The Sky Is Cryin' really stands out but honestly, the whole show was terrific from start to finish. There's no doubt you'll love this concert. Enjoy! ********************************************** Fight the Loudness War! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudness_war No compression was used in the post-processing of this recording to preserve it's dynamic range, listenability and authenticity. This recording will naturally sound much better cranked up loud with quality headphones!
